Erika Anderson is a freelance writer and editor living in Brooklyn, New York. She teaches for the Sackett Street Writers' Workshop, is a contributing editor for Guernica, co-hosts the Renegade Reading Series, and writes copy for start ups, advertising agencies and the United Nations. She also translates from French to English. 

She received her MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Vermont College of Fine Arts while working at the UN in Geneva as a journalist and in communications. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Creative Nonfiction, Gawker, Dame Magazine, The Rumpus and other publications. Her work has been twice nominated for a Pushcart.

She has also lived in The Farm, once the largest commune in the U.S., Kalamazoo, Michigan; Barrow, Alaska; Houston, Texas; Quito, Ecuador; Oaxaca and La Paz, Mexico; London, England; Ferney-Voltaire, France; and Geneva, Switzerland.
